Autumn Gym News

Let’s stay away from the traditional ‘end of summer and here come the shorter days’ speech to say that everyone appears to have kept their motivation and training on the go this month which is great. Normally there is a struggle to keep up regular workouts but we’ve had some real successes. We’ve had to say goodbye to some of our student members who have left for university, fortunately most of them have well equipped gyms on campus to use and we will see them again at half-term and Christmas. Our own trainer Sam and his client Amanda Hannis have showed that they can compete at the top of their categories in Powerlifting competitions with Amanda now holding British records. We’ve seen body fat cast away, blood pressure medication reduced, first 5km runs completed, triathlons finished, fitness raised for an African hike adventure, bad backs strengthened, fitness model podium results and massive amounts of confidence raised. Well done all.

We are expecting two new pieces of kit in October to add to your workouts and there will be a smell of paint in air as we refurbish a few areas. Our new reception is working well and the overall impression is that it is more welcoming and the sofa is a welcome comfort post workout. We will continue to add to the club whenever we can.

Thank you for all your continued support and see you in the club soon.
